Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV) are used in a variety of commercial and domestic applications. These devices are used to accurately regulate and maintain the temperature of hot water delivery to your water outlets. This prevents scalding from your primary hot water unit, regardless of whether it’s storage hot water, solar or continuous flow hot water system.
This type of valve is mandatory in certain commercial premises such as restaurants, nursing homes, pre-schools and hospitals. Thermostatic Mixing Valves must meet Australian Standard AS4032.1 which then refers to AS4032.3 – the requirements for field testing, maintenance or replacement of TMV’s.
